This rare pair of armchairs was designed by Maurizio Tempestini in the late 1940s. The elm wood frames are characterized by the delicate lines of the open arms and the tapered legs. The shape is further accentuated by the curved lines of the armrests, front arm supports and the back cushion. The elegant frames demonstrate the high level of craftsmanship of Tempestini’s production, which was mostly done by craftsmen in and around Florence. The cushions have been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in an ivory white bouclé Larsen fabric.
