This rare ceiling lamp was designed by Paavo Tynell and produced by Idman Oy in Finland in the 1950s. The brass fixture consists of six arms with six indivual lamp shades. Three teak wood elements connect the pairs of brass arms with the ceiling cup. The striking shades made of vertical strips of cane create a beautiful atmospheric effect in the light distribution when the lamp is turned on. The lamp is marked with the Idman logo on one of the wood elements.
