This rare chandelier was produced by the glass company Orrefors in Sweden in the late 1940s. The design is attributed to Nils Landberg, a designer who has created similar striped glass shades for the company.

The striking design consists of a brass ceiling cup and brass central stem, leading downwards to a semi-circular bottom assembly. The assembly is made of lacquered and stained elm wood with a brass finial attached. The five brass arms are attached to the elm wood centre with a beautiful upward curve. The glass shades are with a black exterior with white vertical stripes, the interior of the shades is white as well. This creates a beautiful light effect when the lamp is switched on.

The lamp is in very good, fully original condition. The brass parts with a natural and beautifully developed patina.
