This elegant armchair was produced by the ISA company in Bergamo, Italy, in the early 1950s. ISA was responsible for manufacturing a number of striking designs by Gio Ponti in the late 1940s and 1950s. The slightly angled high back of the chair makes it a particularly comfortable lounge chair. The playful metal feet are in a gold finish. The interior of the seat has been marked with a metal ISA tag. The armchair has been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in a beige/gold velvet with a tweed-like effect. This sophisticated fabric, named Velours Mademoiselle, is produced by Nobilis Paris. We can provide a sample of the fabric upon request.
