This important pair of armchairs was designed by Osvaldo Borsani and produced by his company Arredamenti Borsani in Varedo, Italy in 1946. This rare design was prominently placed in the living room of Borsani’s own home, the sumptuous Villa Borsani just outside Milan (please see the last few pictures of this listing for the interior photos).

The elegant frames in solid walnut wood demonstrate the high level of craftsmanship of Borsani’s production. The chairs are upholstered in a white cotton fabric, it’s possible to recover them in a fabric of your choice.

The pair comes with a signed certificate from the Archivio Osvaldo Borsani, certificate number 120/2019.
