This exceptional, rare five arm chandelier was designed by Hans Bergström and produced by ASEA in Sweden in the early 1950s. The brass stem with an inverted cone shaped centre in solid stained elm wood, to which the five brass arms are attached. The opaline glass shades are resting on circular brass fittings. The matte white shades are hand painted with an abstract, vertical leaf pattern, which creates a beautiful effect when the lamps are illuminated. The decorative appeal of the shades is further emphasized by the zigzag edges of the top part. The design is completed by the brass leaves and finial placed on the bottem of elm wood centre. A very striking and elegant example of Swedish Modern lighting.

The chandelier uses 5 bulbs with a regular E26/27 fitting, recommended maximum wattage per bulb is 40W or the equivalent in LED. The lamp is in very good original condition with minimal natural patina on the brass. The glass shades in good condition, minimal wear on the rims of the shades which is not really noticeable when installed.
