This exceptionally rare chandelier/ceiling light was produced by Boréns in Borås, Sweden in the early 1950s. The elegant design consists of three brass shades with a perforated detail across the lower part of the sconces. Placed above the brass shades are three reflecting, disc shaped shades in white painted metal. In combination with the perforation, this creates a beautiful and pleasant light effect when illuminated. The lower brass and upper painted shades are connected to the centre with brass arms. The centre of the fixture is made of wood, painted in the same white color as the disc shades. The design is completed by the upper brass stem, lower brass finial detail and the brass ceiling cup.
The lamp uses three standard E26/E27 bulbs. The fixture is in very good and completely original condition. The brass with a natural, beautiful patina. The original paint has been preserved well, with very minor losses, which are hardly noticeable when the piece is installed.
