This elegant table lamp was produced in the Netherlands in the early 1930s. The tiered base rests on four square feet and is made of a veneered Macassar ebony with a striking wood grain. The meticulous manner in which the veneer has been applied illustrate the high level of craftsmanship of the maker. The original yellow shade displays a decorative pattern which is distinct for the Amsterdam School style. The shade allows for a soft and pleasant light distribution.
