This pair of armchairs was designed by Gio Ponti in 1949. This particular model was manufactured for the Hotel Bristol in Merano, Italy. The rounded lines and the curved, tapered legs in walnut wood give the chair a refined appearance. The chairs have been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in an olive green ‘Marin’ velvet by Boussac / Pierre Frey. This is a luxuriously soft 100% wool-pile matte velvet which is both dense and supple. The walnut legs have been restored and refinished.
